DescriptionComputer-assisted assessment (CAA) is increasingly being used to assess student learning both formatively and summatively in higher education. CAA offers both pedagogical benefits and efficiency gains where appropriately and effectively implemented. The 'Blueprint for Computer-assisted Assessment' is a comprehensive document addressing the pedagogical, operational, technological and strategic issues faced by those adopting CAA. The Blueprint offers research-based good practice, drawing on the experience of the CAA Centre consortium, which was led by the University of Luton and included the Universities of Glasgow, Loughborough and Oxford Brookes.
